A Little Bit About Us —

Our Vision

When we look at the lives of saints in the Catholic Church, we find diversity in vocation, in personality, and in devotion to Christ. From St. Teresa of Calcutta to St. Hildegard of Bingen, from St. Joan of Arc to St. Therese of Lisieux, it is clear that the number of ways in which one can be “woman" are as numerous as the women who have and will ever exist.

These great Catholic women teach us that womanhood is neither monotonous or uniform, but a way of being that’s expressed uniquely in every woman.

They show us that there is room for each of us in the Church.

In this spirit, we are committed to illustrating the many faces and vocations of women in the Church today to promote an awareness of the dignity and unique personhood of Catholic women of all walks of life.

With every story we share, we want to affirm that you are welcome here - your personality, your strengths, your faults, your quirks, your calling - everything that makes you you. You have a place and a purpose in the Church.

From St. Therese to St. Joan, you belong here.

Our Mission Statement

Our mission is to foster a sense of belonging amongst millennial Catholic women by illustrating the many faces and vocations of women in the Church so that each and every one of them is inspired to intentionally live out their faith.

The Values Behind the Mission

Catholic Personalism

We strive to ensure our content always reflects a Catholic personalistic perspective on women - that women are human persons with inherent dignity, deserving of love according to the personalistic norm as expressed by Pope St. John Paul II.

Studious Orthodoxy

We believe in the Church’s teachings, and in striving to dive deeper into those teachings to understand them more clearly and be more empowered to live the faith. We believe there is much we can learn about different facets of the Catholic faith from women and their unique experiences.

Solidarity & Empathy

We believe in the solidarity of humankind, despite our differences. We are truly our sisters-keeper, and we believe we ought to approach one another with empathy, seeking to understand the other’s experience, so that we may grow in charity for one another. We strive to reflect this in our content.

Explore Our Collection of Stories from Catholic Women

On Single Life

In certain communities, the needs and callings of single Catholic women have been overlooked. There are many single women in the Church who have gotten the impression from others that their life doesn’t really start until they get married. Many have been questioned for their singleness, as if it’s something within their control. Sometimes, their concerns and particular states-in-life are forgotten. These stories are for these women, and include reflections on single life, dating, and identity.

On Social Justice & Solidarity

One of the most beautiful aspects of the Catholic Church is that it is home for every person, not just a select few. Christ is close to those who are looked down upon in society. He is with the vulnerable and marginalized. He stands with the oppressed. Many of the stories in this collection not only identify the ways in which many have failed to see Christ in others, but show a way forward, inspiring the reader to grow in awareness of the dignity of others and to act on it.

Stories from Catholic women navigating family life, motherhood, and marriage.

On Femininity & the Feminine Genius

The word ‘feminine’ is often used as a descriptor for something that is dainty, frilly, or weak. We think this is a flawed understanding of what it means to be feminine. This usage of the word treats femininity as a trait - something someone can have or lack - as opposed to a mode of being within and lived out differently by woman. Women are not a monolith and the feminine genius — a disposition to be attentive to human life — can be lived out ways that are unique to each woman. These stories thus focus on fleshing out what it means to be a woman and embracing the feminine genius today.

On Consecrated Religious Women
